Intercession

Pray for each other...  James 5:16

Lord, allow me to taste the great joy of knowing that I am living even as Jesus Christ lived on earth - to make Your love known to others.  Give me the persistence and discipline to pray as I should.  In Your name, Amen.

Worship God in the Spirit

We put no confidence in human effort.  Instead, we boast about what Christ Jesus has done for us.  Philippians 3:3

Father, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit, teach me to pray with faith so that my life will demonstrate Your power and Your gifts.  Amen.

The Spirit of Faithfulness

We have the sme kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, "I believed in God, and so I speak."  2 Corinthains 4:13

Father, I long for my life to be characterized by the fruit of the Holy Spirit.  Grant me this desire, for I ask in the name of Your son, Amen.

Led by the Spirit

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.  Romans 8:14

Lord Jesus, through Your Spriit, teach me to be patient, kind, good, and gentle so tht people may be attracted to You.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Fruit of the Spirit

But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace... Galatians 5:22-23

Holy Spirit, please make Your fruit reach perfection in me. Then may I be able to pray as I should, always more and more of the Heavenly Father, knowing He will answer. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Dispensation of the Spirit

How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. Luke 11:13

Father, give me the Holy Spirit afresh for this day. Grant me now the working of Your Holy Spirit that I may learn to pray. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Exceeding Abundantly

By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. Ephesians 3:20

Father, You find joy in fulfilling everyone of Your exceeding great promises. Through Christ You proved that where sin abounded, Your grace abounded more exceedingly. I pray this with thanksgiving. Amen.

The Trail and Triumph of Faith

Anything is possible if a person believes. Mark 9:23

Dear Father, I am entirely dependent on the power of Christ to enable me to claim all Your promises. May my faith triumph as I declare: "I can do everything with the help of Christ who give me the strength I need". In Jesus' name. Amen.

Love

Jesus knew that his hour had come to leave this world and return to his Father. He now showed the disciples the full extent of his love. John 13:1

Heavenly Father, it is only in the atmosphere of a holy, living love that the abiding presence of the loving Christ can be known. May the depth of the divine love expressed in Christ's promise "I am with you always "be realized in me today. Amen.

Christ, The Nearness of God

Draw close to God, and God will draw close to you. James 4:8

Dear God, in the words of the hymn writer, "Prone to wander, Lord I feel it; prone to leave the God I love." With Your power, cause my heart to draw near to Your heart, so I might daily enjoy the nearness of Your abiding presence. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

The Christ Life

Christ lives in me.  Galatians 2:20

God, I cannot live life apart from the life of Christ in me, Help me to understand that it is the experience of the life hid iwth Christ in God that enables me to meet and overcome every difficulty.  Amen.

Filled with the Spirit

Let the Holy Spirit fill and control you. Then you will sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, making music to the Lord in your hearts.  Ephesians 5:18-19

Father, may my faith in Christ be the measure of my fullness of the Spirit.  Help me to regard the fullness of the Spirit as indispensable for Your service.  Amen.

The Holy Spirit

He [the Holy Spirit] will bring me glory by revealing to you whatever he receives from me.  John 16:14

Father, Your Word says: Because they love me, my Father will love them, and I will love them.  And I will reveal myself to each one of them.  I trust You to fulfill Your promise that "We will come to them and live with them" (John 14:23).  Amen.

The Missionary's Life

You yourselves are our witnesses - and so is God - that we were pure and honest and faultless toward all of you believers.  1 Thessalonians 2:10

Father, too often my actions hide the Christ whom I should be revealing.  Help me to manifest the character of Christ so others can see and understand His message.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Paul's MIssionary Message

For this is the secret:  Christ lives in you, and this is your assurance that you will share in his glory.  Colossians 1:26-27.

Dear God, Your Word makes it clear how the prayer of Yoru people empowers those who deliver the Good News.  May the result be that many will understand the meaning of the words: "Christ in You, the assurance of glory." Amen.

Father, I came to faith in Christ through one who faithfully proclaimed and lived the gospel.  May my life also compel others to desire Your abiding presence.  In the name of Jesus, Amen.

The Power of Faith

Father, so often I am content to believe only some of Your promsies.  Through a faith which only You can inspire, I trust You to fulfill Your every promsie.  Amen.

The Power of Time

My times are in your hand.  Psalm 31:15

God, I confess how often I allow my schedule to be filled with the unimportant, and I don't give enough time to You.  Today I yield it wholly and gladly to Your disposal.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Power of Intercession

Then we can spend our time in prayer and preaching and teaching the word.  Acts 6:4

Father, it is clear that the effectiveness of Your work relies on the releasing of Your power through prayer.  May we continue steadfastly in prayer until Your power is sent forth.  Amen.

The Power of Obedience

And the one who sent me is with me - he has not deserted me.  For I always do those things that are pleasing to him.  John 8:29

Father, You have said: I will write my laws on their hearts.  I will put my Spirit in you so you will obey my laws and do whatever I command.  May my full obedeince to Your Word bring the joy of Your abiding presence.  Amen.

Why Could We Not?

But hsi kind of demon won't leave unless you have prayed and fasted.  Matthew 17:21

Father, I often do not live in utter dependence upon You.  Thus I find myself powerless to live the life of faith.  Help me to deny all else and rest only in Your strength.  Amen.

Christ Revealing Himself

Those who obey my commandments are the ones who love me.  And because they love me, my Father will love them.  John 14:21

Father, You have chosen to reveal Yourself to the heart taht loves You.  I surrender my heart in obedience and lvoe so that I may experience Your blessed presence.  In Jesus' name, Amen.
