Waiting Upon God

On you do I wait all the day. Psalm 25:5

Lord, quiet my soul to wait on You. "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word do I hope" (Psalm 130:5). In Jesus' name. Amen.

The Holy Trinity

God the Father chose you long ago, and the Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:2

Lord, as I pray impress upon me the need for the intercession of Your Son Jesus Christ and the power of Your Spirit. In Your holy name, Amen.

Sin

I was the worst of them all [sinners]. Oh, how kind and gracious the Lord was! He filled me completely with faith and the love of Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:14-15.

Lord, I want to know and experience fully the divine power of Your precious words of promise: "The blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from every sin...If we continue to live in him, we won't sin either" (1 John 1:7; 3:6. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Introduction

During my years in the military, I use to write daily devotionals for my friends and coworkers, so that they might be able to read the Word of God daily and have a prayer. I always felt that I was doing this for my fellow Christians, but I later found that I was being filled by the Spirit in doing it. When I retired from the military my daily devotional writing stopped as well. Over the last couple of weeks, I have been feeling the pull of the Holy Spirit to start it up again, but on a larger scale. So I pray that if you are reading this, that you will be strenghten and nourished by the Word's of God that will be posted and maybe serve as an encouragement to you in your day. God Bless.
