Christ is All

Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.  Colossians 3:11

Lord, You are all I need.  Teach me to abide in Your love so I will have the assurance that You dwell in my heart.  May I know the love that passes knowledge.  Praise God:  You, Christ, are my all in all!  Amen.

Christ in Me

Examine yourselves to see if your faith is really genuine.  2 Corinthians 13:5

Father, today as I come quietly before You in secret, help me to experience the wonderful reality of Christ in me.  Amen.

A Blessed Reality

God alone made it possible for you to be in Christ Jesus.  1 Corinthians 1:30

God, may Your Word take root in my heart so that I will realize something of its power.  I desire to spend time each day in fellowship with Christ until abiding in Him becomes a reality.  In His name I pray.  Amen.

The Whole Heart

I have tried my best [with my whole heart] to find you.  Psalm 119:10

Lord, I desire to know You with my whole heart.  May my every act of worship, my prayer, my time in Your Word, all be whole hearted.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Strength of the Christian

A final word: Be strong with the Lord's mighty power.  Ephesians 6:10

Father, grant me the Spirit of wisdom that I may experience this wonderful power in my life.  I ask in Jesus' name, Amen.

Put on Christ

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.  Galatians 3:27

Father, I choose to put on Christ and to demonstrate His life in me.  Help me to live out my commitment.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

The World

When you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you.  1 John 2:15

Lord Jesus, in this dangerous world, help me to be wholly devoted to You.  I look forward to my daily fellowship with You.  Amen.

The Cross of Christ

I have been crucified with Christ.  Galatians 2:19

Lord, may I rememer Your sacrifice and Your self-denial.  May the power of Your death work in me.  Help me become like You in Your death so taht I will know the power of Your Resurrection.  Amen.

Wholly for Christ

Christ died for everyoone...so that those who receive his new life will no longer live to please themselves.  2 Corinthians 5:14-15.

Lord, from this moment let my prayer each day be:  Wholly for Christ.  Amen.

The Spirit of Prayer

For the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will.  Romans 8:27

Holy Spirit, I desire to listen to Your leading.  Help me to obey Your voice in all things.  Make me a person of prayer.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Prayer and Fasting

Jesus told them..."But this kind of demon won't leave unless you have prayed and fasted."  Matthew 17:21

Father, help me to joyfully give up earthly pleasures and the desires of the flesh so that my prayers may be more powerful and effective.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Intercession

Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Ephesians 6:18

Lord, I pray for my neighbors and for those where I work, they they will come to know You.  I pray for our pastor and for all who minister the gospel.  And I pray for our country and its leaders, that we may put our trust in You.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Prayer Meeting

They all met together continually for prayer...And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit.  Acts 1:14; 2:4

Lord, may my participation in prayer meetings be much more than a form of social activity.  Give me the joy of experiencing united prayer that moves heaven and earth.  Amen.

Persevering Prayer

Keep on praying.  1 Thessalonians 5:17

Lord, help me to learn to persevere in prayer.  Teach me through delayed answers to learn more of You and how You want me to pray.  Amen

The Spirit of Love

For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.  Romans 5:5

Lord, I bow my knees to You.  Strengthen me by Your Spirit so that christ may dwel in my heart.  May I be deeply rooted and firmly grounded in the love of Christ.  Amen.

Love to Sinners

You can be sure that the one who brings that person back will save that sinner from death.  James 5:19-20

Lord, help me to think not only of my own life but also of the life of others.  Having recevied the gift of God's love, may I pass it on to others.  May I know the joy of bringing sinners to You.  Amen.

Love to Christians

So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other.   John 13:34

Lord, may the love of Christ abide in my heart, that I may love all I come in contact with.  Amen.

Our Love to Christ

You love him even though you have never seen him, though you do not see him, you trust him...  1 Peter 1:8

Lord, please help me to become strong in my faith that my joy may be made full.  Let love, joy, and faith be my life each day through the grace of Your son Jesus Christ.  Amen.

Christ's Love to Us

I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  Remain in my love.  John 15:9

Lord, Your love to me is beyond words and more precious then anything this world could offer.  I long to continue in your love.  Amen.

The Holy Spirit

He will bring me glory by revealing to you whatever he receives from me.  John 16:14

Lord, teach me to love teh Word, to meditate on it and keep it daily.  Lord, reveal the love of Christ to me that I may love Him with a pure heart and for that love to overflow to all that are around me.  Amen.

The First Love

But I have this complaint against you.  You don't love me or each other as you did at first!  Revelation 2:4

Lord, please help me to to love you with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength - in my work and in my daily life.  Amen.

Confession of Sin

If we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.  1 John 1:9

Lord, I commit myself to confess each sin, knowing that You will grant forgiveness and give me deliverance.  Thank You that my burden of sin is taken by Jesus.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Obedience

If you obey me and do whatever I command you, ...I will be your God.  Jeremiah 11:4

Lord, please give me power to do God's will.  Let my fellowship with the Father and with Jesus Christ have quiet, unquestioning obedience as its one aim and object.  Amen.

The Word and Prayer

Restore my life again, just as you promised.  Psalm 119:107

Lord, I pray that wehn I read Your Word I may understand it.  May the Holy Spirit teach me to know and use the Bible correctly, and may I see in it that Christ is all in all and will be all in me.  May my prayers be consistent with what You have said in Your Word.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Obey the Word of God

People need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every word of God.  Matthew 4:4

Lord, please teach me to fellowship with the Father through the Word, even as You did.  Teach me to live solely for the glory of God and the fulfillment of His Word.  Amen.

The Importance of Faith

Don't be afraid. Just trust me. Mark 5:6

Lord, teach me this lesson. Strengthen my faith in Your almighty power. May I see the glory of God, for I ask in Your name, Amen.

Alone with God

When you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father secretly. Matthew 6:6

Lord, thank You for the promise of Your presence and show me the way to be alone with You. Help me to be childlike and trustful in my fellowship with You, confessing each sin and bringing You my every need. Amen.

Jesus

You are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21

Lord, may I learn the joyfulness of each day in fellowship with You, finding the secret of happiness and holiness. May I learn to go apart with You each day and experience Your presence, enabling me to love and serve You adn to walk in Your ways. In Jesus' name, Amen.
